My Power Tools: The Good, the Bad, and the Utterly Useless

I’ve bought some great tools, but also some stinkers unfortunately… and it wasn’t like I didn’t research about them, I did! but somehow the reviewers didn’t realise that the product they were touting was somewhat rubbish. Anyway, I’m going to collate a list of power tools I own and write reviews for each one so hopefully you don’t make the same mistakes.

Some people stick to one brand, obviously there are benefits to that, like numerous batteries and matching colours but I wouldn’t say it’s particularly important. I have a main brand: Milwaukee but use DeWalt, Makita, Metabo and… don’t hate, Parkside and Ferex (only for the tools I don’t use regularly or were for one-off jobs, or what I thought would be one-offs but ended up being relatively fun).

The Good

The Adequate

The Utterly Useless

Conclusion

I’ve learnt the hard way that some tools are worth their weight in gold, while others are better off left in the shop. Hopefully, my experiences will help you make informed decisions and avoid the same mistakes I made. Happy DIYing!
